The Boys of Summer…February 26, 2003
I will say it right
now; I am a Red Sox fan. As my divine right of being a Red Sox fan I have
earned the right to be able to say, “I hate the New York Yankees.” There
I said it and I don’t care who knows, but love ‘em or hate ‘em, the
Yankees do one thing, and that’s win. I hate that.
Because all the
Yankees do is win,
SportingBetUSA has made the Bronx Bombers the favorite to win the 2003
World Series at 4-1. As he does every year George Steinbrenner did what
he had to do to make his club a better team. With the addition of Hideki
Matsui and pitcher Jose Contreras, the Yankees improved on some holes from
last year.
Here is how the
Yankees matchup with some of the other top teams by the numbers:

Remember the numbers
provided are overall numbers unless otherwise stated. What you do with
the numbers is up to you. Steinbrenner has been very vocal this year
about his players in an attempt to get them to play better. Unfortunately
I like the Yanks chances this year.
Good Luck and bet
smart.
